According to ultra-conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh:
The Ford and Honda hybrids due out this month are among dozens planned for the coming years as automakers try to meet new fuel-efficiency standards and please politicians overseeing the industry’s multibillion-dollar bailout.” Nobody’s buying ‘em! Nobody wants them! The manufacturers are making them in droves to satisfy Obama! Sorry for yelling. Nobody wants them! The Prius is supported by the Toyota Tundra and the whole Lexus division ’cause it loses money. Nobody wants them! The only people that have them — well, I’m not going to characterize them — but there aren’t that many.
Obama? Really??
In one respect, I'm tempted to post on a conservative site:
But you know, somethings should best be 'unsaid.' <grins>Since the first hybrids showed up, there have been hybrid skeptics who claimed they were failures. That Toyota sold out of when gas was $4/gal. doesn't seem to phase the skeptics. That there have been hybrid waiting lists for most of the past decade again has nothing to do with their thought processes. Rather I should say, what they claim are 'thought processes.'
In 2004, a Howard Dean attack ad ran that cited the "Volvo" as the vehicle of liberals. Now the nuts are trying to brand hybrids as the new "Volvo." So if you want to screw with their heads, put a sticker on the back of your hybrid that says, "Who is John Gault?" (Libertarian code word.)

Or: I talked to Ayn Rand last night.
My car doesn't get shortwave radio.
