| iTouch (iPod) and 2010 Prius Hi, After upgrading my iTouch to V3.0, I was hoping to use Bluetooth to connect to the audio. Try as I might, I've not gotten the 2010 Prius and iTouch to sync up. However, Griffin makes an "AutoPilot" that lets me use the AUX input in the center console and power to operate the iTouch: ![]() Key features:
ADDITION (6/5/09 I learned there is a Toyota web site for Bluetooth support: http://toyota.letstalk.com/ However, the FAQ does not identify the specific Bluetooth protocols supported. According to Wiki, the iTouch uses "2.1+EDR". I suspect the JBL radio is using a different Bluetooth protocol, one specific to cell phones. Unfortunately, I've not found it yet in the owner's handbook nor at the Toyota web site. Bob Wilson Last edited by bwilson4web; Thu, Jun 25th, 2009 at 07:02 am. |

| I tried to use a Samsung Gravity but the 2010 Prius would not recognize it. Actually, it rejected the phone as soon as it detected it so I exchanged it for Sony Ericsson, TM506. The Ericsson TM506 worked the first time. The hands-free, bluetooth is perfect for making calls but haven't tried playing tunes or podcasts, yet. I don't know if can substitute for the iTouch but we'll see. Bob Wilson |
