Who makes the Toyota Prius batteries...
Here is the web page for the manufacturer of the Prius batteries. They only sell to OEMs which I have tried to ass via a web form submission if they will start selling new batteries to HV battery remanufacturers:

Here is the description for the latest Prius HV battery modules

Was developed based on technologies developed as a specialized manufacturer of the battery pack system for HEV, prismatic nickel-metal hydride battery module is resin case with a new structure.
This product is a high power output density 1300W/kg (approximately 1.3 times compared with our conventional) energy density is 46Wh/kg. Significantly reduce the internal resistance of the structure by developing new connections between cells and a new electrode material, due to improved laminated electrode group configuration, and further improve reliability, such as life characteristics. Can significantly reduce the number of used batteries per vehicle due to higher output of the battery structure and pack module simple and compact, compared to the battery pack our existing space savings of 15% by volume, about 25 wt. has a% lighter.

1300W/Kg power density.
· Significant reduction in internal resistance due to the development of new connections between cell structure and a new electrode material.
· The group consists of a laminated electrode or mechanical, including further improve the reliability of life characteristics.
· Space saving 15% by volume due to high power battery development and new modules simple and compact structure,
lighter weight by about 25% (compared to our conventional battery pack)

Name NP2 battery module
Nominal voltage 7.2V
Nominal capacity 6.5Ah
Output 1350W
Energy density 46Wh/kg
Mass 1040g
Dimensions (mm) 19.6 (W) × 106 (H) × 285 (L)

For those who have buisnesses that rebuild HV battery packs maybe you can try calling and seeing if they will sell you the batteries. I have no idea how much a new module would even cost but sure would like to know. With HV sales past 1 million there will soon come a time where the dealers will loose their hold on battery sales. If this company is not careful they may loose the possability of a retail market to an aftermarket manufacturer as well.
