| Hybrid sales: wow! This is good news although probably due to high gas prices: http://pressroom.toyota.com/article_...rticle_id=2955
. . . My favorite industry standard, the hybridcars.com, dashboard report won't be out until next week but if Prius sales are telling us which way the wind blows ...TMS posted March sales of 24,739 hybrid vehicles, an increase 42.5 percent compared to the same period last year. Toyota Division posted sales of 20,839 hybrids for the month, up 44.1 percent over the year-ago month. Lexus Division reported sales 3,900 hybrids in March, an increase of 34.8 percent over March 2010. Bob Wilson Last edited by bwilson4web; Fri, Apr 1st, 2011 at 10:28 pm. |

| Ok, The hybrid car dashboard report came out: http://www.hybridcars.com/hybrid-cle...arch-2011.html 34,082 (2.74% of market) - 'clean' hybrids 906 (0.07%) - 'clean' EV and plug-ins 8,339 (0.67%) - 'clean' diesels This is better but we really need to see hybrids bust through 3% and start approaching 5% of the market. Then we're talkin' some serious sales. Bob Wilson Last edited by bwilson4web; Mon, Apr 4th, 2011 at 06:29 am. |
