(Amman, 7 Feb 2011): Toyota Prius is the first hybrid car to be tested by the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) for safety achieving five stars on EURO NCAP's safety rankings. Prius proved to be not only an economic, fuel efficient and eco-friendly but a completely safe car as well. Remarkably, Prius indicated a good driver's knee impact area and scored maximum points in the side barrier test.

Side impacts are among
the most deadly and likely to cause major injuries. In contrast to front and rear crashes, the sides have very little 'crush zone' and there are no head restraints to minimize stress on the neck. This is excellent news!
