Clean counts
Over the earlly spring I was busy with work and my TCH got a good film of oxidation, pollen, road film etc. The car still looked pretty good, but the film was there if you looked close. Since I already had the mileage over my profile driven commute, I decided to see if I could prove if cleaning and the new thin-film Polymer waxes like RejeX and Vision made any significant difference in fuel economy.

I washed, cleaned wheels, and then applied Rejex to the entire body. It works, (at least I think!)! The weather did not cooperate and so the "clean" tanks were in slightly warmer weather. Anyway, my FE improved about .8 to 1.2 mpg. (look at the last four tanks for my TCH, 3/19 and 3/30 were "dirty", 4/9 and 4/19 were "clean". Route and road conditions were similar except for temps. I used my commute profile for speeds, accelerations and decelerations over all four tanks.

Once the three-month lifespan of the coating is used up, I will dirty the car up again <grins> to repeat with the warmer summer weather, and then will run another "clean" series after that.
