Picked up the Fusion Hybrid today. SOOOOOO many features to understand. Sync works for my phone but would not upload my wife's phone book. Nav and rear camera is cool. Blind spot warning is great. I was told the travel link and Sirius was free for 6 months, but I read elsewhere that travel link was free for 3 years - was I dreaming? Can't remember where I saw it. I'll try to figure out how to post mileage - may have to let the granddaughters do it for me.

Picked up "Sparky" on April 28. Loving the vehicle. So many new tech features. I'm actually reading the manual(s). 250 miles on the first half tank of fuel. Gauge says 37 MPG - double what I was getting in the Edge around town. I'll post mileage and fuel used when I eventually have to fill up.

MPG Update I bought my second tank of gas yesterday. The trip computer indicated 43 mpg, and my calculation was 40.4. This tank was all city mileage. I guess I cannot complain. ;-) Ormond 2010 Fusion Hybrid

Still have a couple hundred miles left on the first full tank. May fill up this week just to see what the actual mileage was. The info center says 38 MPG. I know we can do better, but everybody has to try it out, so no consistency in driving styles. This summer we will have many 8 to 10 mile trips with the granddaughters for soccer, etc. That should produce the best economy since the speed will be 45 mph or less. I'm liking this decision more and more all the time.

Just filled up the first time - 417 miles and 13.1 gallong. 31.8 MPG and the computer said 36.7. Perhaps the dealership didn't give it a top-off when they filled it at delivery????? I did not expect to get 41 MPG since everyone and their brothers have been driving it. We will see how the next 400-500 miles goes. I notice that every start-up the ICE runs for a while. I guess that is to warm up the engine and help emissions control devices do their thing. We will plan our trips better to minimize miles driven as well as minimizing the cool down time between short trips.

When you get a chance, it would be great if you could plot MPG vs MPH at different highway speeds: 60, 65, 70, 75 and 80 if safe. Ideally, on a flat road without significant wind for say 15-30 minutes. Your mileage display would be enough accuracy. Thanks, Bob Wilson

I haven't had the chance to go on the highway much, but the next time I do I will note the mileage at the different speeds. Ormond 2010 Fusion Hybrid

Most of our trips are in the 2 mile range with a few 6 milers thrown in a couple times a week. So I guess I should be happy with high 30's where I was getting 16 MPG. Gas is creeping up in price here - avg $2.20 today in the Atlanta area, but I'm seeing some $2.25 postings.

I had to make a 200 mile round trip from Roswell, GA to Wedowee, Alabama. Going over, I took the county roads and averaged 44.1 MPG. Long stretches of 45 MPH roads so I set the speed control for 45. Coming back I took the Xpressway at 70MPH+ and got 39.6 MPG. Very happy with the fuel economy and the driving chacteristics of the vehicle. Had fun with Sync and voice activation of the Nav, radio, etc. Makes the trips go easier.
