Fusion/Milan Hybrid allocation Ford just told dealers that they were extending the open allocation for the 2010 Fusion and Milan Hybrids. Verified retail orders will be accepted and scheduled through June 30. This means that most buyers will be able to get their vehicles sooner, especially if they don't live in the high "Hybrid" penetration markets. The new sales tax incentives and Hybrid tax credits make this a great time to place your order and get your vehicle scheduled. If you placed a verified order in the system by 3/30, they have all been scheduled.

Reminder (on tax day), the $1700 tax credit goes thru Sept. 30. If you wait that long however, you may not see your vehicle until 2010, which means you have to wait until 2011 to claim the credit against your 2010 taxes.

We are coming up on the end of June. I wonder if Ford will extend the open allocation for verified retail orders beyone June. I heard that the 2010 Escape Hybrid will be introduced with the same open allocation strategy that the Fusion had. Dealers can order above their allocation if they have a verified (copy of the buyer's order and driver's license) retail order.

The open allocation was extended until the end of the year. Orders still have to be verified (copy of the drivers license and purchase order. I hear some cars are comimng through in 6 weeks. The $1,700 tax credit ends Sept. 30. so order often and soon. We are liking ours so much, I wish I had ordered a second one on March 30. The MKX lease is up this month.
