| EE Times interactive Volt Review One of the writers at EE Times is doing a one week test drive of a Volt and asked for questions: http://www.eetimes.com/electronics-b...omotive-design I've put mine in but you may have some questions to pose too.
A Volt for a week I like this style of review where the writer and the readers interact . . . much like our forums. Ultimately, readers are the final judges by staying or wandering off to other interesting and useful venues.Rick DeMeis 7/22/2011 12:39 PM EDT The automotive press-pool elves have given me a Chevy Volt to do what I will for one week. So if you have something you would like to ask about the car, please post it here in the comments section and I'll do my best to give you an answer. Bob Wilson |

| Bob, I found it interesting that he returned 53.8 mpg on a 458 mile trip but that included 3 1/2 "charges" on the battery and did not include the cost of the electricity to recharge the battery. I still think for a local commute only, the Volt would make someone a nice car but for those making longer trips or having the need to make a lot of 5 to10 mile trips during the day (delivery vehicle), this would not make for a practical mode of transport compare to a normal hybrid. |
